Sales Reports

PriceFinder includes easy access to recent sales data. Sales reports are useful in market research and prospecting.

In this how-to we have provided an example of a report search in the suburb of Paddington, Queensland.  But you can experiment with any location you like!

Getting Started

To access sales reports, click the ‘Reports’ tab to bring up the screen below.

The sticky note above shows where you can enter a suburb name or use the ‘Search by Street’ for a more specific search.  Press ‘GO’ when ready.

Refining options

The next screen is the ‘Refine’ screen.  Here you can select a large range of options.  Commonly selected options are ‘Sales Date’, ‘Property Type’ and ‘Land Size’.  If you need even more options, the ‘Advanced Search’ tab allows even greater control over the results.  Feel free to experiment.

In this example, we have selected “House” as the refine option.  Press ‘Search’ when ready.

Results

The next screen shows your results preceded by a number of information boxes and controls.

Summary Box

The Report Summary box contains information about your search including average, median, high/low etc.

Print and Export

The ‘Print Page & Export Options’ box allows easy printing with a range of formats to suite your needs.  Also included is a Microsoft Excel export option.

Results View (changing)

The ‘Results View’ drop-down options (above) allow different data to be included in the result list.  The options are (Sales including Purchasers / Sales including Attributes / Sales including Land Details / Sales including Vendor& Purchaser).  Experiment to find your favourite.

Removing sales results option

In PriceFinder, you have a great option to remove sales from your list.  This is to allow removal of sales that you don’t want, don’t worry, it doesn’t remove the sale from PriceFinder’s database!  Look at the image above, the ticks next to each sale can be checked on or off.  Once you untick a sale, click the ‘Update Selected Results’ button.  This will update your list and re-calculate the average and even re-draw the chart!  Useful if you find a rogue sale that the government has added an extra zero to!

That it!  When you have finished producing and refining your Sales Report results, remember to use the ‘Print and Export’ button to create fantastic looking reports.
