Charts come in two flavours, basic and advanced, and both are really simple to use.
Getting started
To access charts, click the ‘Growth Charts’ tab to bring up the screen below.
Like it says in the graphic above, everything is really easy to use. Lets start with basic charts.
Basic Charts
Enter a suburb into the ‘Suburb name’ field and select a property type (House, Unit, etc) then click GO. Once you have done that, the following chart results. Read the ‘sticky notes’ for more detailed info about the screen.
ABS data is also available from this page (Demographics, Housing and other Statistics), just click the tabs under the box containing your selected suburb. When you are ready, click the ‘Print Page & Export Options’ button above and to the right to produce brilliant PDFs or spreadsheet data.
Advanced Charts
Just as easy but more adventurous is the Advanced charts, built to allow you to compare regions side by side.
In the example below, we have entered two suburbs (Paddington and Surry Hills) but you can enter whatever you like. Try postcodes or even LGAs…
